About Alexandrians for Sensible Growth

Alexandrians for Sensible Growth (ASG) is a nonpartisan grassroots organization of concerned citizens who are committed to working to ensure that Alexandria remains a community where each neighborhood enjoys a high quality of life. To this end, ASG's goal is to elect a Mayor and City Council every three years who will bring vision, new ideas and new leadership to face our city's development and transportation challenges.

ASG also monitors City Council's legislative agenda and public policy decisions to ensure that they are consistent with ASG's goals and strategies for long-range planning, transportation, neighborhood planning and protection, citizen participation, land use planning and affordable housing.
